With some sophisticated, acoustic pop, Denmark and Simon Mathew are trying to win the hearts of Europe with their light
hearted, feel good tune, 'All Night Long'.

All Night Long
A Little Bit of History...
Denmark have had an interesting run at Eurovision over the past few years, doing very well (3rd in the Semi, 9th overall
in 2005, 2nd in 2001, winning in 2000) and very poorly (last in 2002, failed to qualify in 2004). They've won twice,
in 1963 and 2000. In 2005, their qualification was a big surprise, with what I still think was a poor entry. In
2006, Sidsel sang her heart out, but it still wasn't enough - nor was their flamboyant, spectaculr, camptastic entry from
a drag artist in 2007, so it's back to the drawing board for Denmark.

From I heard this song
I was dreading having to write a review for it, and I’m even more worried about having to make a prediction. This hasn’t made a big impact on the fans or any early listeners – but neither did ‘Talking
To You’ in 2005, which resulted in Denmark’s latest top ten finish. This song has the same happy go lucky, acoustic feel to it, and it’s certainly a catchy one, regardless
of whether or not you think it’s actually any good.In a nutshell, I don’t
think the song’s all that bad at all, but it certainly is nothing special. That
said, it does have that charm which would make countries like the UK and
France vote for it (also in the same Semi) which could just be the lift
Denmark need.Simon performs the song well and is a good looking guy offering a sound vocal.Everything’s good on paper, but this one really needs to stick out from the crowd in that second
semi to pull through – something which mightn’t be all that far out of reach.
